#STYLEWCW: 6 THINGS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD LEARN FROM YEMI ALADE
After giving this a lot of thought, I decided to make a post every Wednesday that appreciates NIGERIAN women who are constantly on the rise when it comes to their fashion and style choices. Whether it is with their makeup, clothing or even both we will be here feeding you with stylish females you should follow and reasons why. Not to worry "guys" I am sure with time I would create time for you. So my first ever women crush is the beautiful, Yemi Alade. I have followed Yemi Alade's fashion just as much as I have followed her music, she slays not only in music videos and red carpets but on a daily basis. That is why I have complied the 6 things every woman should learn from Yemi Alade's style choices.
Never be strung on a
particular style, no matter how much it suits you. Do not be afraid to
occasionally "switch things up", just like miss Yemi Alade, try out
new looks every now and then and keep people asking questions like; I
wonder what she is going to wear this time.
People who know me can
relate that I am quite a conservative dresser, but if there is one thing I have
learnt from my style wcw; it is that a little skin occasionally is so not a bad
idea. So ladies do not be shy to show off a bit of assets, every once in
awhile, but do not forget to exercise moderation😏.
I love my wcw for this
one so much, because I am such an advocate for wearing more made in Nigeria and
Africa clothing’s; and from indications we can see that she is fully stocked on
African prints which are absolutely beautiful. So when it comes to African
prints, the more the merrier.
Just like Yemi 😜,
always make sure you are comfortable. Following her style choices I noticed
consistency in wearing and looking comfortable enough to move freely on the red
carpet, also to dance hard whenever the music is on.
Most women see their
hair as simply a part of their body, but just like me miss Yemi handles her
hair like the "CROWN" it should be. Making "MAMA AFRICA"
like hair styles, and just like her and myself *winks* that all women should
treat their hair like the crown that it is.
Never be scared to incorporate
bold and loud colors in your styling, because just like miss Yemi has shown us;
a bold color like YELLOW worn with more subtle colors, can transform a boring
look to a BANG!
So this was FUN, but it could be much MORE FUN. To make the STYLEWCW post more interesting, I would love for your readers to be the
dictators of the STYLEWCW. So if you feel a certain celebrity or person (
yes you can send me your stylish friends) should be our Style Woman crush,
message me on any of my social media pages telling me why you think this person
should be my style woman crush. It is high time we promote ourselves right?
Do not forget to make
use of the comments section below; and of course sharing your thoughts via
social media using the hastag AFRICANASTYLEWCW.
