MY CHEAP AND EASY DIY CHRISTMAS LAMP DECORATION

christmas lamp

Urghhhh,  selling my soul to a nine to five job, has made it kind of hard to keep with blogging, but I’ll try my best to do better in the days to come.
So we all know the festive season is coming, and during this period Christmas decorations can get pretty expensive, so I decided to make a post on one of the christmas lamp I made last week.

The best thing about this Lamp is it doesn’t have to be used during the festive season alone, I actually made mine for the table in my bedroom.

With that being said, lets get into it.

THINGS YOU’LL NEED

1.)    GLASS JAR OR EMPTY WINE BOTTLE  ( I used an empty honey jar)
2.)    String lights
3.)    Paper rose/ or any center piece of your choice)

STEP ONE- Pick out your holder

my empty store-bought honey Jar.
I decided to use a glass jar because I feel it was more ideal for a table lamp, so start off by  Cleaning out the jar or wine bottle and make sure it is completely dry before you begin so it doesn't cause parts of the light to rust later.

STEP TWO-Setup your lights

Stick in string lights in a spiral pattern, leaving the switch at the bottom.
I got my string lights at an extremely cheap price, and some even come with a corkscrew end which is great for those that want to use a bottle which in my opinion is more festive.
STEP THREE- Choose a center piece

my Styrofoam rose.

I picked out a white Styrofoam rose from a bouquet of flowers my sister caught at a wedding few years ago ( she's married with kids now *winks*).

STEP FOUR-Turn on lights, lol.

Beautiful right ?
At this point I had to refrain myself from leaving the lamp like this, but it was barely illuminating.

STEP FIVE-Seal Jar

my lamp on the table in my room.
I decided to place my jar upside down to hide the lid, a fancier alternative is covering your jar with a small washcloth then sealing it by tying it with a fancy thread or rope.

showing my one year old niece how to make the lamp, lol its that simple.
It feels great to write here again, and I'll really love if you guys try this and let me know how it went.
